2019 Ukiah High Distinguished Graduate Award dinner, June 7th. One plaque for the library for “perpetuity” and another for me! I gave a short speech to the graduating class the next day. I was given this award to show that even people who come from a small town can follow their passion and be successful!

An audio/visual collaboration with Peter Wells addressing climate change, “Nothing to Sea Hear” was presented June 1, 2019 at soundpedro, an ear-oriented multi-sensory arts festival, held annually at Angels Gate Cultural Center, in San Pedro, CA. How can something so sinister be so beautiful?

“Craft Revolution” at Orange County Center for Contemporary Art
February 2nd was a rainy night for the Opening of Craft Revolution at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art. I was happy to have my work chosen from over 600 entries. Staci Steinberger, Associate Curator, Decorative Arts and Design, LACMA selected works of great variety and mastery of techniques with thought provoking content.

Exhibiting at Utopia offers the opportunity for many more people to experience my artwork.
The 2 month length of exhibition combined with people living with the art while enjoying a magnificent meal is terrific!

“2018 California Open Exhibition” at Tag Gallery
My wall sculpture “Epiphany” is included in the 2018 California Open Exhibition. This work represents gestures of thoughtful expressions, lines frozen in steel. The lyrical lineage dances like calligraphy incongruously with the toughness of the cold material, creating a kind of dichotomy reminiscent of life’s many benchmarks and quandaries.
